CUNP research grants for PhD and Post.doc in France
The Norwegian University Centre in Paris (CUNP) offers grants for 1–2 months’ stay for scholarly purposes at academic institutions in Paris or at other locations in France. Deadline February 1, 2020.
Only Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows from the Norwegian membership institutions (NTNU, the University of Bergen, the University of Oslo and the University of Tromsø - The Arctic University of Norway) are eligible to apply. The results will be announced in mid-February 2020.

- Applicants must fill out the application form.
- The stay must be completed by the end of fall semester 2020.
- Applicants can normally be awarded the stipend up to two times (once as a Ph.D.-candidate and once as a post-doctoral fellow). If specific reasons exist, an applicant may be awarded the stipend three times. These reasons must be outlined in the application.
- Upon a completed stay in France, a report on the work must be sent to Kirstin B. Skjelstad, firstname.lastname@example.org
Travel costs and cost of living
The grants are intended for all disciplines within the humanities and the social sciences and law and cover extra costs of living/housing (NOK 17 500 per month) and travel costs on economy class.
For those who do not have an institutional base in Paris, CUNP will offer workspace in the library of the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme/Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. CUNP may also issue a Carte d’accueil giving access to libraries, collections, archives, museums etc. CUNP cannot provide lodging, but may provide a list of rental flats.
